    Itabashi Ward and Kanazawa City concluded a friendship exchange city agreement in 2008, based on the fact that the Kaga Domain had a residence in what is now Itabashi Ward in the Edo period.
    In accordance with the history of the Kaga Clan's dedication of snow ice to the Shogun's family, snow ice cut from the icehouse is delivered to the Shogun's family.

  • May 16, 2024 Training for new employees in 2024

    The 20th training session for newcomers to the Itabashi Tourism Volunteer "Motenashitai" program was held. In the Edo period (1603-1867), Nihonbashi was the starting point of the Five Routes of Tokaido and Nakasendo, and was a strategic point for transportation and logistics.

  • June 1, 2024 Kanazawa Hyakumangoku Festival

    Itabashi sightseeing volunteer "Motenashitai" participated in the event. Kanazawa City and Itabashi Ward became friendship exchange cities in July 2008 because of the Maeda family's residence in the Kaga Domain. This was the 10th time for us to participate in the "Motenashitai" event. The photo shows the scene of entering Kanazawa Castle dressed as the fourth lord of the domain, Lord Mitsutaka Maeda.

  • Celebrating 2024, the 20th anniversary of the company's founding

     Itabashi Sightseeing Volunteer "Motenashitai" is now in its 20th year since its establishment in 2005. We have started with 52 members, including 8 newcomers this year, in a cheerful and energetic manner.
     We are working to play a part in enhancing the brand power of Itabashi. We hope that everyone will experience the excitement of strolling in Itabashi, including the "top picks" of the district chosen by the guides.

  • Itabashi Seven Lucky Gods Walking Tour January 5, 2024 (Friday)

     It is said that Kintaro Tanaka, a sculptor who lived in Kumano-cho, created these seven gods of good fortune around 1937 and donated them to temples in Itabashi Ward, including Nerima Ward.
     The day of the tour was blessed with fine weather, and participants enjoyed touring the 10-km long course together.
     The course included Noumanji Temple (Jurojin), Saikoji Temple (Hotei), Saikoin Temple (Daikokuten), Kanmeiji Temple (Ebisu), Monjuin Temple (Bishamonten), Chomeiji Temple (Fukurokuju), Anyouin Temple (Benzaiten), and the following temples


  • Postscript to the Ward Walking Tour

    On October 6, 2023, I toured the Tokiwadai area.

  • Walking tour of places associated with Kanazawa (July 6)

     In commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the Friendship City Agreement with Kanazawa City, the tour focused on the ruins of the Kaga Domain's Shimoyashiki villa.
    Blessed with fine weather, participants listened intently to the explanations at each guided tour site.
    At the Itabashi Ward Office, where the tour ended, an exhibition of Kanazawa products and panels was held, making the day a day to feel closer to Kanazawa.
