ContentsEiichi Shibusawa is known as a modern industrialist, and is much talked about as the face of the new 10,000 yen bill and the main character in the historical drama "Shake the Blue Sky. Eiichi contributed to welfare and medical care through his prowess as the first director of a nurturing hospital, the predecessor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Geriatric Hospital, located in Itabashi Ward.

This year also marks the 180th anniversary of when Takashima Akiho, for whom Takashimadaira is named, conducted Western-style artillery training in Tokumaruhara. The exhibition will introduce the achievements of both Takashima and Takashimadaira, which changed the times from the early modern to the modern era.
