Collection Exhibition] Kacho Fugetsu Wonderland
Itabashi Municipal Folk Museum opened in 1972 and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022. Over the years since its opening, the museum has collected various historical, archaeological, and folklore materials. The collection includes paintings such as hanging scrolls and frames. In particular, many paintings have been handed down from the Iida Kan family, which had a main camp at Itabashijuku on the Nakasendo Road and is registered as a tangible cultural property of Itabashi Ward.
This collection exhibition introduces the paintings in the museum's collection, and hopes that visitors will learn about the appeal of Japanese-style paintings.
At the same time, the local museum is holding a concurrent event, "Hajimete no, Kakejiku" (First Time, Kakejiku). For details, click here.
