Summer Special Exhibition: Insects and Insectivorous Plants of the Tropical Zone
Insects and insectivorous plants living in the tropics will be introduced, and related events will be held.
Biological Exhibit Corner
Large beetles such as Hercules beetle from Central and South America, Giraffa sawtooth stag beetle from Southeast Asia, Mandibularis stag beetle, Lacodal tree stag beetle, etc., as well as the rainbow stag beetle from Oceania will be exhibited.
Specimen Display Corner
Various specimens of tropical insects, such as beautiful Morpho butterflies, large Tribetes swallowtail butterflies, leafminers that look just like tree branches and leaves, giant praying mantis bugs and leafminers, etc. will be on display.
○Insectivorous Plants Corner
Insectivorous plants, such as Echinacea, Sarracenia, and Haemorrhiza, will be exhibited and their ecology will be introduced. Some of them will be on sale.
*Exhibits are subject to change depending on the condition of the insects and plants.

A booklet-type sheet that provides hints for free research will be distributed free of charge.
Take the notebook with you to observe the plants and fish in the museum.
*Please bring your own writing utensils.
Stamp rally in the museum will be suspended during the period.

Mini Guide to Insectivorous Plants
You can observe insectivorous plants in the museum while listening to explanations.
When: Tuesdays through Fridays through August 26 (Fri.) from 2:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. each day
Capacity: 10 people each day (first-come, first-served)
