Located next to the Akatsuka Castle Ruins and Akatsuka Tameike Park, the Local History Museum displays various materials and information about the history, culture and nature of Itabashi Ward in an easy-to-understand manner. It also serves as an information transmission base for the residents of Itabashi Ward to learn about their hometown through workshops, lectures, and hands-on learning.

The museum consists of a main building with exhibition rooms, lecture rooms, and a storage room, and attached facilities such as a thatched house from the Edo period.

Take the bus from the north exit of Narimasu Station to Takashimadaira Yard via the Ward Art Museum, or from the west exit of Takashimadaira Station to the north exit of Narimasu Station via the Ward Art Museum, and get off at the Ward Art Museum.
