Marumizu-gumi is a workshop specializing in "hand-binding," the art of creating books, albums, binders, and other publications by hand. Based on this hand-binding technique, they promote various forms of craftsmanship, challenging new possibilities using materials such as paper, leather, cloth, and wood. Visitors can view completed samples of past commissioned works, the hand-binding process, and the tools used. This company is a "visitor-friendly company," meaning it allows the public to tour the factory. Advance reservations are required for visits. The workshop also has a shop where you can purchase kits, materials, and tools. An exhibition is held in the summer where you can see various works and participate in free workshops, so please check the website!
