This is a sewage treatment facility of the Bureau of Sewerage of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. It treats most of the sewage in Itabashi, Nerima, and Suginami wards, and some in Nakano, Kita, Toshima, and Shinjuku wards, jointly with the Ukima Water Reclamation Center in Kita Ward. The treated water is discharged into the Shinkagishi River and all the sludge generated is incinerated. The plant is not usually open to the public, but you can visit if you make a reservation in advance.
