This is a facility that collects, organizes, preserves, and displays to the public important historical materials from the vast amount of official documents and publications of the ward. The museum also has a large collection of photographs and maps, which may give you a chance to feel nostalgic and talk about your memories.
The museum also houses the "Tokutaro Sakurai Collection," which houses about 38,000 items donated by the late Tokutaro Sakurai, a great scholar of Japanese folklore who compiled the "History of Itabashi Ward.
