Akatsuka Botanical Garden
The Akatsuka Botanical Garden consists of three areas: the Main Garden, the Manyo and Medicinal Garden, and the Agricultural Garden. In the main garden area, many kinds of trees are planted as a tree sample garden, and wildflowers such as the ward's flower, nirinso, bloom on the forest floor.
The Man'yoshu and Medicinal Garden area is planted with plants composed in the Man'yoshu and medicinal plants. The information board has poems from the Man'yoshu collection written on it, making it a fun place to learn. In the agricultural garden area, you can see the flowers and fruits of crops being harvested. Nearby, there is an art museum, a local museum, and the Akatsuka Metropolitan Park, which is a walking course blessed with nature.
