A famous cherry blossom viewing spot for those in the know
Row of cherry trees along Shakujii River
It is a famous spot selected as one of the "Itabashi Ten Scenic Views" by those in the know, where the crowds are not the main attraction, but the cherry blossoms are. The rows of cherry trees along the 4-kilometer stretch from Naka Itabashi to the Kaga area are lined with more than 900 cherry trees, and the view of them blooming into the Shakujii River as if they were pouring down is unbelievably enchanting. At night, the rows of cherry trees illuminated by lanterns create a fantastic atmosphere, which is one of the hidden charms of the cherry blossom festival.
