The garden is a reconstruction of Kiyomizu Yakushi, a famous place visited by many travelers and writers in the Edo period, based on illustrations from the Edo Meisho Zue (Illustrated Guide to Famous Places in Edo). Although small in scale, the garden offers an atmosphere of tranquility and serenity unimaginable from the bustle of the city.
