The house of the master of the house where the Imperial Princess Wamiya stayed
Ruins of Nakashuku Waki Meishu House
This is the site of the residence of the Iida family, who served as masters of Itabashi-juku. At the end of the Edo period (1603-1868), the Imperial Princess Wamiya stayed here on her way to marry the 14th Shogun Iemochi, and in 1868, the Emperor Meiji rested here on his way to visit Omiya Hikawa Shrine.
