This is the site of the residence of the Honjin Iida family, who passed down the name Shinzaemon from generation to generation. In the Edo period, the Honjin and Wakahonjin were important facilities at the post office during the shifts between the shogunate and the shogunate. During the Edo period, the Honjin and Wakihonjin were important facilities at the post office during the shifts between shogunate and daimyo (feudal lords), official warriors of the shogunate, priests and court nobles.
