Former site of Japan's first photographic film testing facility
Birthplace of purely domestic photographic film
There used to be a film testing laboratory of Dainippon Celluloid in the Shodosawa area, where the country's first photographic roll film was researched and manufactured. Later, the film division was relocated and became independent and became Fujifilm Corporation. At the site of the former film testing laboratory, the birthplace of purely domestic film, a monument has been erected to represent the image of an egg just before it hatches.
