The ruins of a castle from the Warring States Period that still remains.
Ruins of Akatsuka Castle
This is the site of the castle of the Chiba clan, which ruled this area during the Warring States period. The castle is said to have been built in 1456 and abandoned in 1590. It was a typical medieval flat mountain castle, and even today, only a few remains such as air shelters can be seen around the castle, reminding us of the past.
