The stone bridge that remains of the Nakasui River, which is also a registered monument of Itabashi, is another attraction.
Chiseiji Temple
It is a temple of the Jodo sect, which is said to have been founded in the early 14th century. During the Edo period (1603-1868), it was a red seal temple, with the shogun's family granting the temple five stones. The ancient documents handed down in the temple are valuable for understanding temple management and government religious policies from the Edo period to the modern era. The stone bridge that remains on the temple grounds was built in 1714 over the Nakayui (seven-village Kamigo water supply in the Edo period). This stone bridge is a valuable historical site that shows the existence of the Nakayui water supply, which has now been buried, and also tells the history of the water riots.
