Famous as the "Temple of the Wooden Monument
Ryufukuji Temple
This is a temple of the Shingon sect of Buddhism, which is said to have been founded at the end of the Muromachi period. The main deity is the Dainichi Nyorai, a statue created in the Edo period. The temple grounds enshrine the Yakushi Nyorai, which is said to have been found in the inlet called Nanakozaki, which was spread out under the plateau in the Heian period. The temple is also famous as the "Temple of Wooden Monuments" with several wooden monuments, including one dated 1255.
