This park was built on the cliffs of the Akatsuka plateau. The park stretches long and narrow to the east and west, and features different areas to enjoy, such as the central area where there are sports facilities and a barbecue plaza (reservation required), the Okiyama area where you can enjoy mini-hiking, and the Joshi area where the remains of the main castle of Akatsuka are located. The Daimon district is home to the largest area in Tokyo where the ward's flower, "nirinso," grows wild, and every year in early April, you can enjoy a carpet of pure white nirinso growing along the slopes of the cliffs.
