Every year, the festival is held at night on February 11 at Tokumaru Kitano Shrine and on February 13 at Akatsuka Suwa Shrine. In 1976, the rice field games were designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Japan as "Rice Field Games in Itabashi".
